Abstract:

PURPOSE: To decrease the impurities incorporating by wear from the member for a pulverizing machine by constituting the member of a Zr sintered body which contains Y2O3 at a specific ratio and the average crystal grain size, bulk density, fracture toughness and strength of which have respectively specific values and incorporating tetragonal crystal zirconia of a specific ratio.
CONSTITUTION: This member consists of the Zr sintered body contg. 1.0 to 4.5mol% Y2O3. The average crystal grain size of the sintered body is ≤2μm and the bulk density of the sintered body is ≥5.8g/cm3. The sintered body contains ≥40vol.% tetragonal crystal zirconia. The fracture toughness of the sintered body is ≥4.5MPam1/2 and the strength of the sintered body is ≥60kgf/ mm2. The member consists of the zirconia sintered body, the average crystal grain size (μm), fracture toughness (MPam1/2) and strength (kgf/mm2) of which satisfy the following equation: (average crystal grain size)1.4×(fracture toughness)-2.7×(strength)-2.7≤1×10-7.
