To provide a member for drain piping, which prevents a flame, smoke, a toxic gas and the like from flowing out to stories above a story causing a fire in a building, and to provide a drain piping structure.
A member 1 for drain piping is attached to a connection portion in which a piping material 6 with a flammable pipe end is externally fitted to a piping material 4 with an inflammable pipe end of a socket. The member 1 for the drain piping comprises an inflammable tubular member body 27 which can be split in a circumferential direction. The member body comprises first inner flanges 52A and 52B overhanging inward from one tubular end, and second inner flanges 52A and 52B overhanging inward from the other end. The member 1 for the drain piping is attached to the connection portion by making the first inner flanges abut on or get close to the outer periphery of the flammable pipe end and making the second inner flange locked to the diameter-enlarged outer periphery of the socket by abutting thereon. A thermally-expandable fireproof material 30 expanding at a predetermined temperature can be housed between the inner periphery of the member body and the outer periphery of the flammable pipe end.
