To provide a member for a heat exchanger, which member does not require high temperature heating for joining, and is made of aluminum capable of being soldered, and further to provide a heat exchanger using the same member.
A surface-treated Al material is formed by forming a Zn layer, an Ni layer or an Ni-Zn layer, and an Sn layer on an Al base material composed of an Al tube material and an Al fin material in this order from the base material side. Then, the surface-treated Al fin material is fitted on the surface-treated Al tube material, and a cream solder is applied on the fitted portions. After that, the member for the heat exchanger composed of the tubes having the fins are manufactured by soldering them by heating them to 300°C or lower. The member is applied to the heat exchanger.
