Abstract:
To provide a member for an internal combustion engine, having a film with excellent heat resistance on a base material made of an aluminum alloy.SOLUTION: A member for an internal combustion engine comprises: a base material made of an aluminum alloy; a direct current anodic oxide film formed in or on a surface of the base material; and a plating layer including nickel formed in or on a surface of the direct current anodic oxide film by a direct current electrolytic method (excluding those including an anodic oxide film formed by an AC-DC superimposed electrolytic method). The base material is preferably a material from which an oxide film formed on the surface is removed.SELECTED DRAWING: None
