Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a member for a sootblower device, capable of being installed permanently in an atmosphere of high temperature as well as strong corrosion, and especially, a member for injecting the jet of a blowing medium.

CONSTITUTION: A member 12 for a sootblower device, arranged in a boiler, is constituted of a cylindrical ceramics segment 38 having a throughhole, extending into the axial direction of the flow of blowing medium, conducted to flow through the member 12, and an injection opening 44, injecting the blowing medium radially, a closing means 42, arranged at the tip end of the segment for closing the hole, and a mounting means for mounting the member on the sootblower device at the tip end of the segment. The member is formed by winding ceramic fibers on a mandrel, and thereafter, is impregnated and elaborated by impregnation through a sol-gel process to make the same.
