Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a member configured to be usable as an easy-to-handle, aesthetically featured nail polishing tool with an everlasting polishing function, the member also being usable as a decorative body.SOLUTION: The member is configured to have a base material 2 with a gently recessed surface 2a as if forming part of a spherical surface with a large curvature radius, the recessed surface 2a having a super hard particle layer (polishing part 5 or decoration part) formed thereon, where minute super hard particles 6 spread over the recessed surface are fixed by an electroplated metallic film layer 4, and the pointed ends 6a of the super hard particles are configured to be exposed for allowing the super hard particle layer to provide a polishing function such that a nail polishing tool 1 is structured. The super hard particles may be those with a high light refractive index the top part of which is covered with a transparent resin such that the member is usable as a decorative body.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
