PURPOSE: To enhance the connecting strength of diamond crystal with tungsten and tungsten carbide, and improve the intensity of a composite film itself by enclosing the diamond crystal by metal tungsten and tungsten carbide.
CONSTITUTION: A diamond crystal 1 consisting of at least one of diamond and diamond-like carbon is formed by CVD method on the surface of a base plate 8 consisting of silicon. At least one kind of metal tungsten and tungsten carbide is filled in the void in the diamond crystal 1 by CVD method to form a diamond-tungsten composite film 3 on the surface of the base plate 8. This diamond-tungsten composite film 3 is brazed to the base material of a member, and the base plate 8 of silicon is removed to provide a member with diamond- tungsten composite film.
