Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing member with a fluorine-containing resin layer of an image forming apparatus, configured to improve surface smoothness.SOLUTION: A fixing member has a three-layer structure formed of a substrate 110A, an elastic layer 110B, and a surface layer 110C. On the surface layer 110C, a coating film is formed by applying fluorine-containing resin particle dispersion. The surface layer contains a sintered body of the fluorine-containing resin particle, which is formed by heating the coating film, thickener, and polyvalent metal salt.
