Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an anticlouding member used under an indoor illuminating lamp, and a self-cleaning member which is used in such an environment that the member is illuminated with the indoor illuminating lamp, and submerged in water, and wetted with water, or rinsed with water so that a stain on the surface can be washed out and the surface can be cleaned, and which is submerged in water, and wetted with water, or rinsed with water so as to be cleaned.
SOLUTION: The anticlouding member used under the indoor illuminating lamp is provided with a base material and a surface layer which is bonded to the surface of the base material, consisting of anatase type titania crystals or rutile type titania crystals. The anatase type titania crystals or the rutile type titania crystals make the surface of the surface layer hydrophilic so as to show a water-wettable characteristic of about 10° or smaller in terms of a contact angle to water in response to photoexcitation by the indoor illuminating lamp.
