Title:
MEMBRANE FILTRATION OF CELL CULTURE MEDIA USING CHARGED PARTICLE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH01124380
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To increase the flow rate of filtration, by adding an effective amount of a first type charged particulate substance containing a specific functional group and average diameter to a cell culture medium to form a suspension and subjecting the culture medium to membrane filtration.

CONSTITUTION: An effective amount of a first type charged particulate substance containing 0.1-1.5 functional groups per monomer unit and having about 0.01-2.5 μm average diameter is added to a cell culture medium to form a suspension in the culture solution. Then the culture medium containing the suspension is filtered by using a membrane to filter off and separate the culture medium component. In this case, preferably after the first charged particulate substance is added to the culture medium, an effective amount of a second charged particular substance having a charge opposite to that of the first particulate substance and containing 0.1-1.5 functional groups per monomer unit and having about 0.01-2.5 μm average diameter is added to the culture medium.
