PURPOSE: To make the forming machine to be responsive simply to the change of the forming condition for the cross corrugation, by installing the mechanism which detects the rolling reduction of the female die, and controls separately the feed rate of the female die and the lift die, correspondingly to above detected value of rolling reduction, using plural hydraulic cylinders.
CONSTITUTION: The membrane 4 is put on the female dies 2a, 2b, and the hydraulic cylinder 21 of the clamping device 14 is actuated so as to press the clamping plate 13 to the membrane 4 through the arms 16, 17, and the membrane 4 is clamped on the female dies 2a, 2b. If the rolling load is applied to the male die 1, the draft detector 31 detects the shrinkage of the post 7 as the rolling reduction, and sends the signal to the feed rate controller. Hereby, the females 2a, 2b, are made to mutually approach by the hydraulic cylinders 26a, 26b, to be driven according to the signal inputted to the servo valves 32. The lift dies 3 are lifted by the hydraulic cylinder 29 and mutually approach with movements of the female dies 2a, 2b. Hereby, the desired cross corrugation is formed.
