Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the workability at the time of evaluating the power of a membrane module, which is produced by filling a casing with membrane elements, by forming aperture parts which can be opened and closed to make it possible to touch hollow fiber membranes in the inside in at least two positions.
SOLUTION: In the case membrane module evaluation is carried out at the time when the collected amount of permeated water of a membrane separation apparatus can not be recovered even if the membrane module is washed, a vessel 24, which is a pressure container, and covering covers 25, 26 composing a casing 20 of the membrane module are disassembled and the hollow fiber membranes 11 in the pottings 12, 13 of the vessel 24 are observed. Moreover, covers 27' 28' of a pair of aperture parts 27, 28 installed in the vessel 24 are also disassembled to observe the hollow fiber membranes 11 in the vessel 24. Then, any one of hollow fiber membranes 11 in the vessel 24 is cut from one aperture part 27 and at the same time another part of a hollow fiber membrane 11 is cut from the other aperture part 28 and the cut part is taken out through the aperture part 28 and based on the part of the taken out hollow fiber membrane 11, the deterioration of the hollow fiber membranes 11 is evaluated.
