Title:
MEMBRANE SEPARATION ACTIVATED SLUDGE PROCESS
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH10314554
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To ensure a high permeation flow rate by introducing a ferrite powder added water to be treated into a bioreaction tank having a filter module having a metal made separation membrane and evacuating an interior of the filter module to obtain treated water and cleaning a surface of the metal made separation membrane with the ferrite powder.

In polluted water containing organic substances, the organic substances are decomposed by a microorganism actively moved by bubbling air supplied into the polluted water through an aeration pipe 3 in a bioreaction tank 1. Part of fine particles in activated sludge in the polluted water adhere on a surface of a metal made separation membrane of a filter module 2 arranged in the bioreaction tank 1. In this case, because ferrite powder 6 dispersed in the polluted water in the bioreaction tank 1 is made to always flow by the air supplied through the aeration pipe 3, the surface of the separation membrane is cleaned by the ferrite powder 6 so that adhesion and sedimentation of the organic substances on the surface of the membrane is suppressed. By this, a compact-designed treatment apparatus becomes possible and decrease in permeation flow rate is effectively prevented.
