To facilitate assembly work of a membrane structure by making it easy for a support to support an end edge of a membrane body, in the membrane structure provided with a long support attached to a structure body side and capable of supporting the end edge of the membrane body.

The membrane structure includes a long support 4 which is attached to the side of a structure body 3 and is capable of supporting an end edge 5 of a membrane body 6. The support 4 includes a hooking hole 30 formed so as to extend in a longitudinal direction, and a slit 31 formed to communicate the inside and outside of respective parts in the longitudinal direction of the hooking hole 30. A thickness D1 of the end edge 5 of the membrane body 6 is made greater than the thickness of a general part of the membrane body 6, and the end edge 5 of the membrane body 6 can be inserted through the slit 31 to the hooking hole 30. A long body 36 whose outer diameter D2 is made greater than the minimum width W of the slit 31 and which can be inserted from the end in the longitudinal direction of the hooking hole 30 to the part of the hooking hole 30 more on the side of the slit 31 than the end edge 5 of the membrane body 6 is provided. The long body 36 is made flexible.
