To provide a membrane treatment method of balast water capable of certainly peeling the fouling substance bonded to a membrane and capable of decomposing the peeled fouling substance to keep a membrane flux over a long period of time.
In the membrane treatment method of balast water using the membrane treatment apparatus 1, which separates microorganisms with a predetermined size or above, provided in or on the ship body of a ship, a washing solution containing a surfactant is immersed in the gaps between the surface of the membrane and the fouling substance containing at least one kind of the protein, lipid, carbohydrate and plant fibers bonded to the surface of the membrane to perform immersion treatment and the surface of the membrane is subsequently washed with a washing solution containing enzyme for decomposing the fouling substance.
