Abstract:

To provide a new memorial tablet-type case for keeping ashes of the deceased semi-permanently by which the family of the deceased can cherish the memory of the deceased from their heart everyday at a family Buddhist alter at home.

This ashes case is made of corrosion resistant strong metal and consists of a nearly cylindrical case member 1, an open bottom part, and a lid member to close the open bottom. The cylindrical case member 1 has a closed top plane part, and a surface 1a on which the deceased's posthumous Buddhist name is written and a surface 1b on which an additional description is written on the surface of the cylindrical case. Ashes of the deceased are put inside the case member 1, and the total surrounding of the lid member is tightly sealed using a sealing connection means mechanically. After that, a base member 5 made of wood, etc., is attached under the lid member.
