PURPOSE: To realize the continuous reading of the Chinese character pattern information with every character from the memory by controlling the access to the memory based on the address on the private bus.

CONSTITUTION: The following units are provided: memory 11 to store the plural Chinese character pattern information; devices 13 and 14 to supply the information of memory 11 and then carry out the fixed process; and private bus 15 possessing the control line as well as the data bus between memory 11 and each device. Then one designation address is generated for the access given to the memory from each device and then sent to bus 15. And the real address information of memory 11 is grown over the prescribed address region at memory controller 12 and based on the address on bus 15. Based on this information, the access is given to memory 11.
