Abstract:
To aim at reduction of the number of components and cost of a memory card connector.
The connector, for passing electricity between an electric circuit of a memory card and that on a printed circuit board with a power source contact and a signal contact arranged side by side at an insulation housing 7 by insertion-fitting the memory card 2 into a storage part 3 of the insulation housing, is made provided, in addition to the insulation housing 7, with a detecting contact 6 as a detecting means for detecting insertion-fitting of the memory card 2 into the housing part 3, with its tip part 6a arranged in contact with a pad 2a of the memory card 2 stored in the storage part 3.
