To reduce the labor and time for exchanging a memory card in a memory card recorder 5 which records or reproduces data to or from the memory card as an IC recording medium by making it possible to record or reproduce plural memory cards 101 successively.
The memory cards 10 are stacked in layers and stored in a cartridge 6, which is loaded in the memory card recorder 5; and the memory cards 101 are supplied in order from the bottom one and recorded or reproduced.
