To provide a memory card slot opening / closing door device of an image photographing apparatus preventing a memory card from moving out of the slot during the use by providing a function of holding the memory card inserted to the slot to a door to open and close the entrance of the memory card slot.

The door device disclosed herein includes a door rotatably disposed at the entrance of the memory card slot of the image photographing apparatus to open and close the slot. The door is elastically biased in the direction of closing the slot entrance and particularly provided with at least one friction pad for holding the memory card of the slot by friction force. Therefore, friction force is applied by friction pads of the door to the memory card inserted in the slot. Since the friction force by the door is exerted to the memory card together with a connection force by a multi-card socket, the memory card may be prevented from moving out of the slot.
