Abstract:

To provide a menu display device for home electric appliance capable of customizing a menu with high flexibility without making it necessary to provide any large-scaled component.

This menu display part 23 installed in an STB 20 is provided with a menu data reading part 23a for reading new menu data from an SD card 60, and for storing the menu data in a menu data storing part 23f, a menu display control part 23b for reading the menu data from the menu data storing part 23f, and for displaying the menu on a TV 40, a menu data editing part 23d for editing the menu data stored in the menu data storing part 23f based on interaction with a user, and a menu data writing part 23e for writing the menu data stored in the menu data storing part 23f on the SD card 60.
