To enable the existence of recovery data in a menu display area and to accelerate menu display processing by holding a graphic for recovering the menu display area inside a rear buffer without copying contents in the menu display area of a front buffer into the rear buffer.

When plotting a menu, a menu plotting area is registered in a menu display area managing table 103 inside a main memory 102, click areas are set to a clip control command 106 and frame buffer display 113, and a clip area is set to a frame buffer rear side 114. By issuing the main clip control command 106, the contents of a following plotting command 105 are displayed only in the menu display area of a frame buffer front side 113. By distinguishing menu plotting and plotting excepting for the menu, even after the menu is displayed on the frame buffer front side 113, data can exist on the frame buffer rear side 114.
