To provide a merchandise display system for enabling a general purchaser to excellently view over-the-counter merchandise and excellently arousing the attention of the general purchaser to the over-the-counter merchandise for instance.
The over-the-counter merchandise STP is housed in a display system body 300 freely rotatably pivoted by a body supporting column 220. By rotating the display system body 300, the general purchaser can freely view two or more kinds of the over-the-counter merchandise STP. At the time, by power generated by a column power generator 250 in linkage with the rotation of the display system body 300, a light emitting element 320 positioned on the outer surface 302 of the display system body 300 is lighted. Thus, the unexpected state for the general purchaser occurs, and the attention of the purchaser to the arrayed over-the-counter merchandise STP is excellently aroused.
