To provide a merchandise purchasing method and information equipment for purchasing merchandise, permitting intuitively selecting and purchasing purchase desiring merchandise from the exclusive information equipment using insertions without knowledge of computer systems.

The information equipment is previously provided to a user. Merchandise information regarding the merchandise printed on a predetermined position in the insertions and store information regarding a store selling the merchandise are described on the insertions in a bar code manner. When the user places the insertions on a predetermined position of the information equipment, a bar code reader reads the merchandise information and the store information. When the user touches the merchandise on the insertions, the merchandise is specified from the information of touched position and the merchandise information, and the merchandise information is displayed as the purchase desiring merchandise. Using a mail sending button, purchase desiring of the purchase desiring merchandise is sent to a contact indicated by the store information.
