Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a train coupling supporting system and a train coupling supporting method, for supporting operation in coupling of train, and to improve the efficiency in coupling of train.SOLUTION: The train coupling supporting system includes:a millimeter wave radio transmission device 4b which is mounted on a coupled train B and has a ranging function; a millimeter wave radio transmission device 4a which is mounted on a coupling train A, has a ranging function, and outputs distance information between trains 10D on the basis of a signal output from the millimeter wave radio transmission device 4b; a train information management device 6a which is mounted on at least the coupling train A and transmits a power-running command 18D or a brake command 17D to vehicles; and a coupling supporting device which calculates a residual distance on the basis of distance information between trains 7D and a speed signal 15D of the coupling train A, calculates a target speed of the coupling train A on the basis of the residual distance, controls a power-running command 5D or a brake command 6D so as to follow the target speed, and outputs it to the train information management device 6a.
