PURPOSE: To enable the use of a mesh conveyor belt for a long period of time under high temperature even under oxidizing atmosphere by accumulating a heat-resistant metal layer on a connecting means in the direction of width whose basic material is carbon fiber reinforced carbon composite material via an intermediate layer made of ceramics.
CONSTITUTION: A heat-resistant member is constituted by accumulating a heat- resistant metal layer on a core material made of carbon fiber reinforced carbon composite material (hereinafter referred to as C-C composite) as a heat-resistant connecting bar 2 via an intermediate layer made of ceramics. The C-C composite can withstand high temperature of about 3000°C, but is easily damaged even at a temperature of about 300-600°C under atmosphere of H2O, CO2, 02, etc. However, since a heat-resistant member which is used as the connecting bar 2 is constituted by accumulating the ceramics intermediate layer and the heat- resistant metal layer on the C-C composite in this order, resistance against the atmosphere is ensured due to the heat-resistant metal layer, and resistance against heat is kept by the C-C composite.
