Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a mesh fabric having excellent releasability from rubber, resistant to the deposition of dust and suitable for applying an uneven pattern of woven mesh on a surface of a rubber sheet, by using a polyphenylene sulfide filament yarn at least as the warp.
CONSTITUTION: The objective mesh fabric can be produced by using a polyphenylene sulfide filament yarn at least as the warp of the fabric. The polymer of the filament yarn contains the unit of formula as ≥90% of the recurring unit and is produced, e.g., by reacting anhydrous sodium sulfide with a polyhalogen-substituted cyclic compound in a polar organic solvent.
