Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To adjust the outlines of a reflective mesh surface with no manual operation by incorporating an electric motor pulling means to pull the suspension lines.
SOLUTION: All suspension lines 29 and 31, i.e., the non-expandable pulling members are radially extended from the center of a truss in the radius direction and form a pair of nets. The binders 32 which are equidistantly placed along a suspension line are attached among the suspension bodies 29 and 31, and the length of every member 32 increases as the distance increases between the member 32 and the center of the truss. The suspension bodies are equal tension lines or unequal tension lines according to the necessary functions of a reflector. If the suspension bodies are the equal tension lines, every member 32 pulls two tension lines opposite to each other and by the same distance. Then length of the member 32 is decreased as two suspension bodies set opposite to each other are pulled closer to each other. The end part of body 29 is attached to a joint via a pulling member having a screw thread and an adjuster member is connected to the joint.
