PURPOSE: To provide a message control system using a telephone line which is capable of notifying the receipt of a package to a resident when the resident is absent and no response is received.

CONSTITUTION: In this system, a package storage means 8 having a telephone system 6 performing an automatic transmission when a package is stored, an information processor 1 receiving this automatic transmission, one or plural residences 13 having the residence telephone sets 12 connected with this information processor 1 by a telephone line and message lamps 11 and a voice mail device 5 connected with the information processor 1. When the information processor 1 receives the automatic transmission, the processor performs one time or plural times of transmissions to the residence telephone set 12 of the residence regarding this automatic transmission. When a response is not received from this residence telephone set 12, the message lamp 11 of the residence 13 is lighted. When the call is received from the residence telephone set 12 after the lighting, the voice mail device 5 is reproduced and the message information on this residence 13 is transmitted to the residence telephone set 12.
