To notify a user of occurrence of a message without disturbing operation by the user.
A notification receiving means 1a receives notification of event occurrence of each window, and acquires notification information about an occurring event. A notification history message creating means 1b creates a notification history message based on notification information stored in a notification information database. A window state confirming means 1c confirms whether the window state corresponding to the notification information is active. When it is active, a pop up message displaying means 1d displays a pop up message corresponding to the notification information on a screen. When it is not active, a notification icon displaying means 1e displays a notification icon corresponding to the notification information about the window on the screen of the active window that is presently active.
