To allow a screen saver to display a display picture only for the screen saver on a display when input operation from an input device does not occur for a fixed time, and to surely inform a user of a message received from an information processor in the middle of executing the screen saver.

A communication control part stores a message received from the information processor 1 in a message area 21. At the time of fetching a picture only for the saver from a saver picture area 22 and detecting a message on the message area 21 in the middle of displaying it on the display 25, the screen saver displays the received message on the display 25 in stead of the picture only for the saver. When input operation enters after displaying the message, the message in the message area 21 and contents in a message picture saving area 23 are compared and only when the message is changed, a new message is displayed.
