Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a metal-air cell in which stagnation of water drops or electrolytic solution at the bottom of a thin form air chamber is avoided and also shortcircuiting of an air electrode is avoided.
CONSTITUTION: In a cell laminate 25 to constitute 21 battery equipped with an air electrode, aluminum electrode, and a thin form air chamber 26, the air including oxygen to work as an active material is supplied by a fan from an air supply hole 2x to the air chamber 26. The air after passing through this chamber 26 is forcedly exhausted to outside from a slit-form air outlet 67 and a tubular air exhaust hole 68. Therein water drops or other liquid such as electrolyte stagnating at the bottom 26a flow also down an inclined guide surface 69 and are exhausted to outside together with the air.
