Abstract:
To provide a metal chlorin-fullerene linked molecule which has a charge separation state with an extralong life longer than the charge separation life of a photosynthesis reaction center in the natural world and of which the energy loss due to electron transfer is small.
The metal chlorin-fullerene linked molecule is represented by formula (I) and produced by reacting chlorin represented by formula (II), a 60-70C fullerene, and a compound for forming a linking part to give a chlorin-fullerene linked molecule represented by formula (III) and forming a zinc complex or a magnesium complex of the chlorin-fullerene linked molecule represented by formula (III).
