Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metal complex capable of maintaining high absorption performance.SOLUTION: There is provided a metal complex which comprises at least one metal ion selected from ions of metals of groups 2 to 13 in the periodic table, an anionic organic ligand capable of forming a polydentate coordination with the metal ion and a neutral organic ligand capable of forming a polydentate coordination with the metal ion. The metal complex comprises a two-dimensional sheet-like structure containing metal ions and a neutral organic ligand which coordinates with metal ions in the two-dimensional sheet-like structure and crosslinks neighboring two-dimensional sheet-like structures. When the number of sites capable of forming a polydentate coordination contained in the two-dimensional sheet-like structure is defined as Nand the number of sites coordinated with a neutral organic ligand is defined as N, N/Nis 0.35 or more and 0.90 or less.
