Abstract:

To provide a novel metal complex, a light-emitting element and a display.

The metal complex has the composition of [(PtII)2(MI)4(L)8], wherein MIis one of H+, AgI, AuIand CuIor a combination thereof; and L is a compound represented by the chemical formula (wherein R1, R2and R3are each independently a hydrogen atom, chlorine atom, bromine atom, iodine atom, hydroxy group, phenyl group, trifluoromethylphenyl group, pentafluorophenyl group, naphthyl group, methyl group, ethyl group, i-propyl group, t-butyl group, trifluoromethyl group, hydroxymethyl group or hydroxyethyl group; and at least one of R1, R2and R3is not a hydrogen atom).
