To provide a metal film excellent in wear resistance and adhesion, and a method for depositing the same.SOLUTION: A metal film 5 formed on a surface of a base material 4 includes a soft material 51 and a hard material 52 as a main component. The weight ratio of the hard material included in the film to the soft material is different in a thickness direction and/or an extension direction of the film, and the weight ratio of the soft material 51 included in a film portion 53 close to the base material 4 in the thickness direction of the film to the hard material 52 is larger than that of the soft material 51 included in a film portion 54 distant from the base material 4 in the thickness direction of the film to the hard material 52.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8
