Abstract:

To provide a metal forming roll which can easily manufacture a corrugated plate having a flat area in its periphery, and a forming method using the same.

A pair of top and bottom metal forming rolls have a plurality of parallel projected or recessed/projected profiles around the entire periphery 360° of the roll. These rolls are arranged such that the projected or recessed/projected profiles of the top roll come to be engaged with the recessed or projected/recessed profiles of the bottom roll. In the forming method, a part of the corrugated plate formed by using the metal forming rolls is flattened by press-forming or roll-forming, whereby the corrugated plate having the flat area in its periphery is manufactured without causing wrinkles nor distortions.
