Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metal gasket capable of sealing the narrow gap between combustion chamber holes adjacent to each other and the periphery of a water hole by beads effectively in a gasket comprising a plurality of metal plates laminated.
SOLUTION: This metal gasket comprises an external plate 10 for fixing a plurality of laminated plates by folding back it at a position around an combustion chamber hole 1, a bead plate 20 forming beads thereon and a sealing plate 30 for the narrow gap between combustion chambers adjacent to each other and the periphery of a water hole at the sections of the beads on which the sealing plate 30 abuts. The bead plate 20 is formed with beads 21 for surrounding the combustion chamber hole 1. The water hole 2 is provided outside of the intersection 22 between the combustion holes adjacent to each other. Sealing is made by surrounding the water hole 2 by the beads 21 around the combustion chamber holes, which are adjacent to each other and intersect each other at the bead intersection section 22, and beads 24 ranging these beads 21.
