The metal graphite brush 4 is formed into a laminated shape by pressure forming and has a structure that a surface vertical to a pressure surface 5 is made as a sliding surface of a commutator. The brush contains scale-like graphite 1 and copper-plated scale-like graphite 3. The ratio of the copper-plated scale-like graphite 3 with respect to the total amount of the metal graphite brush is regulated to be ≥20 wt.%.
