To provide a metal lead recovering method from a lead-containing material by using a waste battery as a raw material and applying a blast furnace refining method unnecessitating roasting and sintering processes.
Metal lead is recovered by charging the lead-containing material obtained by crushing and pulverizing the waste battery and separating and removing lead-uncontaining material preferably to have ≤2 wt.% the content of the plastics into the blast furnace having 2 holes as charging ports together with coke and a solvent to melt and reduce. As the solvent, iron scrap, preferably lumpy iron scrap, lime stone and silica are added. A charge rout changing device capable of uniformly charging the charging material to each hole is preferably arranged at the upper part of 2 holes of the charging ports.
