To provide a metal material melting device capable of being easily assembled into a holding furnace, safely usable and capable of swiftly and efficiently melting metal material.SOLUTION: A metal material melting device 1 installed into a molten metal holding furnace 100 comprises a driving part provided at a body 2 communicating a suction port P1 and a discharge port P6 at a communication passage and driving a molten metal in the molten metal holding furnace 100 so as to be sucked from the suction port P1 and be discharged from the discharge port P6 and a melting part provided at the body 2 and melting metal material charged into a vortex formed by the driving of the molten metal by the driving part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
