Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a metal mold for lead storage batteries which does not require applying a release agent on a sprue part and is easy to work.
CONSTITUTION: A perforated body 4 consisting of SUS 316 is arranged in the sprue part 1. The thermal resistance equal to the thermal resistance of cork which is the release agent is obtd. when the thickness of the perforated body 4 consisting of SUS 316 is adequately set and, therefore, the grid body having an approximately uniform thickness and mass is produced even if the release agent is not applied on the sprue part if such perforated body 4 is used for the sprue part 1.
