To provide a metal mold elevation mechanism that elevates and lowers a metal mold with a lighter burden on an operator and at low cost.
There is provided a metal mold elevation mechanism (52) used for a press brake (51) in which a lower table (6) moves up and down to contact and separate from an upper table (3) fixed to a main body part (HT). The metal mold elevation mechanism includes: a first rotary wheel (15) provided on the side of the lower table (6); a second rotary wheel (12) provided below the first rotary wheel (15) and on the side of the main body part (HT); a third rotary wheel (11) provided above the first rotary wheel (15) and on the side of the main body part (HT); a wound transmission member (13) having one end side fitted to the side of the main body part (HT) below the first rotary wheel (15) and wound around the first to third rotary wheels (15), (12), and (11) in this order; and a metal mold carrier (9) fitted to the other side of the wound transmission member (13) and enabled to hold a metal mold (4), the metal mold (9) being elevated and lowered as the lower table (6) is elevated and lowered.
