Title:
METAL OXIDE HYDROGEN SECONDARY BATTERY
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3146063
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a metal oxide hydrogen secondary battery provided with a negative electrode, containing a rare earth hydrogen storage alloy with a specific surface area by a BET method at hydrocrushing time in a predetermined quantity, and a long life of charge/discharge cycle further with small unevenness of this life.
CONSTITUTION: In a metal oxide hydrogen secondary battery of structure in which a positive electrode, alkaline electrolyte and a negative electrode of containing rare earth hydrogen storage alloy powder as an active material are housed in a vessel, the negative electrode contains a rare earth hydrogen storage alloy whose specific surface area by a BET method at one time hydrocrushing time at 2 to 30°C under a hydrogen pressure of 5 to 10atm. (gage pressure) becomes 0.020m2/g or more and less than 0.050m2/g.
