Abstract:
To provide a method for quickly protecting an exposed background portion of the surface, along which a metal pipe has been cut at the time of jointing the metal pipe, at the site.
An optical hardening type resin composite, which hardens when irradiated with a visible light and/or a near infrared ray, is applied to that exposed background portion of the surface of the metal tube such as a ductile cast-iron pipe, from which a cut material metal is exposed. The applied portion is irradiated with a visible light or a near infrared light for 5 to 20 seconds so that the optical hardening type resin composite is hardened to form a protective film.
