To provide a metal plate positioning device capable of surely pressing a face material on an end face of a flat plate without applying excessive load to a side for holding the face material, when mounting the face material to be one metal plate on the end face of the flat plate to be the other metal plate.

This metal plate positioning device includes a device base part 11 rotatably supported by a crane 1 to be made movable in a horizontal direction and a vertical direction, a hand 12 rotatably supported around a shaft 14 in a direction orthogonal to a rotary shaft of the device base part 11 in relation to the device base part 11 to hold and release the face material F, and a relief mechanism 20 for allowing moving in an opposite direction of a pressing direction of the hand 12 at a stage in which the face material F held by the hand 12 is pressed on a base panel BP.
