To provide a metal recovering apparatus capable of efficiently crushing residual sag and electric balls and efficiently and rapidly separating the residual slag and molten metal.

This apparatus has a rotating furnace 2 which is housed in a housing 3 freely rotatably disposed in a supporting base 4, a rotary driving mechanism which rotates this rotating furnace 2 at a high speed, an agitating vane member 14 which is inserted along the central axis of the rotating furnace 2 and plural pieces of agitating balls 13 which are fed into the furnace. This rotary driving mechanism has a driving motor 10, an engaging shaft 11a formed in the output part of this driving motor 10 and an engaging hole 12a projectingly disposed in the central part at the bottom of the rotating furnace 2. The engaging hole 12a and the engaging shaft 11a are so constituted as to be tightly fitted relatively nonrotatably.
