Abstract:

To provide a method for rapidly and highly concentrating a desired metal and recovering the same, by inducing leaching of the metal contained in the group consisting of a metal oxide or a metal hydroxide.

In the method for recovering the metal, trivalent iron is reduced to bivalent iron by the action of iron-reducing bacteria; the bivalent iron is used to induce leaching of the metal contained in the group consisting of a metal oxide or a metal hydroxide to produce a leachate and a debris, and the leachate is separated from the debris to recover the desired metal.
