PURPOSE: To provide the title novel composition containing a lubrication oil component and an emulsifier component composed of a copolymer of a polyoxyalkylene derivative and maleic acids, usable in the rolling under high speed and pressure condition and having excellent liquid circulation stability.
CONSTITUTION: The objective O/W-type emulsion composition contains (A) one or more lubrication oil components selected from mineral oils, oils and fats and fatty acid esters and (B) an emulsifier component consisting of a copolymer of (i) a polyoxyalkylene derivative of formula [B is residue of a compound having 2W8 OH groups; AO is 2W8C oxyalkylene; R1 is 2W5C unsaturated hydrocarbon group or unsaturated acyl; R2 is 1W40C hydrocarbon group; a, b and c are 0W1,000; l is 1W8; m is 0W2; n is 0W7; l+m+n=2W8; m/(l+n)≤1/2; al+bm+cn≥1] and (ii) a maleic acid (anhydride) (salt).
