Abstract:
To provide a metallic terminal which can ensure proper conduction performance, and an electric wire provided with the terminal.SOLUTION: A metallic terminal 1 of an electric wire 100 with the terminal includes: a terminal main body 10 having a cylindrical contact portion 11 and an inward protruding portion 14; and a contact component 20 which is slidably provided in a terminal insertion space portion 11a along an axial direction X, and has an abutting portion 21, an elastic contact piece 22, and a connecting portion 23. The contact component 20 can slidably move, in the terminal insertion space portion 11a, to a standby position at which the connecting portion 23 is positioned on an insertion port 11f side of the inner protruding portion 14 with respect to the axial direction X, and a contact portion 22a of the elastic contact piece 22 is positioned away from an opposite terminal, and to a contact position at which a head of the opposite terminal is bumped against the abutting portion 21, the connecting portion 23 abuts against the inner protruding portion 14 to be elastically deformed, and the contact portion 22a forms a contact with the opposite terminal.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
